Dedicated to the memory of Grace Smith

Grace was a very kind and considerate daughter and sister, but in truth her whole world was her two children Joseph 8 and Harriet 6.
She always put their needs and enjoyment at the forefront of her life. Her love and care for them shone like a beacon.
Joseph inherited her features and Harriet her sense of fun. She will certainly live on through them. And we will make sure as will all her friends and family that they will always know how much she loved them.
Her heart broke whenever she read sad stories or watched the news when people were hurt or families torn apart through no fault of their own, never ever considering this could happen to her family.
She was proud at obtaining her Nursing degree when she had two small children to look after, and even prouder when she started her own Aesthetics business.
We hope that sadly, unlike her; the legacy of memories of her love and laughter never leaves us.
We had her for the happiest 32 years and we are touched by how many people truly cared about her, she would frankly be amazed.
Thank you all so much for your support,
And a massive thank you for the children's primary school St Peter and St Paul's who have been truly wonderful and supportive.
Mal and Marj Smith.

Thoughts

Me and my husband, Wes, first met Grace when she started dating Ben back when they were still in high school, as Ben was best friend’s with my husband’s nephew, Reece Parrington. We shared many fun nights out with Grace over the years. Grace’s warm, genuine, fun and caring personality was evident to anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting her. Grace loved to dance and have fun. Some of my fondest memories included her singing the lyrics word-for-word of several rap songs, as you know Grace has always been gorgeous and stylish so to see her rapping was such a contrast to her appearance but was representative of the fun loving person she was. I was a bridesmaid with Grace in 2015 for our friend, Amy’s wedding when Grace was heavily pregnant with Joseph. Every dress fitting we went to was a challenge for the dress fitter with Grace’s ever growing bump which we laughed about. Grace of course still managed to look incredible. Grace and I remained friends on WhatsApp despite being incredibly busy with our work lives and young families, and I used to love seeing her status updates which more often than not included her beautiful children and highlighted how much she absolutely idolised and loved them. I have been in shock since I heard the devastating news of Grace’s passing and my heart broke for her friends, family, boyfriend, and of course her children. Grace was such a special person and will forever be remembered and loved. All our love Jane & Wes xxx

I met Grace when we were at university (2013) doing our nursing degree, she was in my cohort. The first time I saw her in class I remember thinking… oh wow that girl is so beautiful, she was always smiling too. We remained friends and used to call upon each other whenever we needed aesthetics support/advice 🤍 Apart from myself, I would only let her touch my face (aesthetics) as she was as absolutely amazing at what she did. I was so proud of her ❤️ I’m glad I have so many voice notes and messages, to be able to look back at and listen to her 💗… Just being able to hear her voice is amazing, she will never be forgotten, thank you for being my friend 🦋
